The 2009 event has come and gone, but we hope you'll join us next year for the 2010 event! |
|
Have you ever spent a great day enjoying the open road to benefit a charity? Want a close up look of some of the best driving roads in the south? Do you miss the rustic locations of old? The High Country Challenge provides many reasons for you to get out and enjoy the road!
If you would like to get in touch with us about the event, either this year's or next, please feel free to e-mail us by clicking here. 2010-01-10: I know it's been a while since I last updated, but for the second year in a row, the High Country Challenge raised approximately $1300 for the Soldiers and Airmen's Assistance Fund! Again, we'd like to thank all those who participated in the 2009 event. See you guys for the 2010 event! Bring your friends! And keep checking back here for updates. 2009-10-12: This year's event was a great success! We had more than 30 cars come out for the event. Photos from this year's event are available by clicking the 2009 Event Photos button above. If you attended the event, we would appreciate copies of your photos to post on the site! If you're like to provide photos to us, please feel free to e-mail copies to us by clicking here. We don't quite have all the numbers back yet, but as soon as we do we'll let everyone know what this year's donation came out to be! So check back soon! We'll also be adding the plaques for the Club Participation Award and Highest Mileage Awards soon. This year the Carolina Z Club repeated as the largest club in attendance while a second Ford Mustang, this one piloted by Jerry Widner III, won the Highest Mileage Award. The question now becomes can the Ford Mustang and Carolina Z Clubs continue their dominance for the 2010 event? Perhaps you will have something to say about that? |
